Description
Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common type of eye cancer in children. If accounts for 2% of all childhood cancers and can affect 200 to 300 children each year in the United States.
This course will cover a basic understanding of Retinoblastoma including information regarding what can cause it and how it can be treated.
In addition there will be relevant statistical data and image examples of various grades of Retinoblastoma tumors.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the presentation, the attendee will be able to:
- Describe Retinoblastoma: what it is, it’s cause, typical treatments, and long term visual outcomes
- Describes the different grades of tumors as associated with Retinoblastoma
- Recognize terms used when describing Retinoblastoma
- Understand the importance of RetCam Ultra-Wide Field Imaging as it relates to Retinoblastoma
