Cette masse de cellules qui s\u2019accumulent forme une tumeur.<br \/>\nChaque cellule a normalement deux g\u00e8nes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/cancer\/retinoblastoma\/causes-risks-prevention\/what-causes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">RB1 suppresseurs de tumeurs<\/a>\u00a0qui contr\u00f4lent la vitesse de d\u00e9veloppement des cellules et provoquent la mort des cellules au bon moment. La mutation RB1 peut se produire dans toutes les cellules du corps, ou uniquement dans une cellule d\u2019un \u0153il\u00a0:<sup>4<\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>R\u00e9tinoblastome h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaire\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/cancer\/retinoblastoma\/causes-risks-prevention\/what-causes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Environ 1 enfant sur 3<\/a>\u00a0souffrant d\u2019un r\u00e9tinoblastome pr\u00e9sente une mutation germinale dans un g\u00e8ne RB1 qui provoque la mutation de toutes les cellules du corps. Dans 75\u00a0% de ces cas, la mutation RB1 est survenue dans un ovule ou un spermatozo\u00efde qui a form\u00e9 l\u2019enfant ou dans l\u2019une des cellules de l\u2019enfant pendant la grossesse. Dans 25\u00a0% des cas, les nouveau-n\u00e9s d\u00e9velopperont un r\u00e9tinoblastome h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaire car le parent est \u00e9galement porteur de la mutation RB1 et la transmet \u00e0 l\u2019enfant.<sup>5<\/sup><\/li>\n<li><strong>R\u00e9tinoblastome non h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaire\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0Pour la plupart des 2 enfants sur 3 restants souffrant d\u2019un r\u00e9tinoblastome, la mutation RB1 se produit \u00e0 un stade pr\u00e9coce de la vie et appara\u00eet en premier uniquement dans une cellule d\u2019un \u0153il. Dans ce cas, la mutation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique ne se transmet pas dans la famille.<sup>6<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sympt\u00f4mes du r\u00e9tinoblastome<\/strong><br \/>\nLe r\u00e9tinoblastome est souvent d\u00e9tect\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019allure inhabituelle de l&rsquo;\u0153il de l\u2019enfant. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, lorsque la lumi\u00e8re entre dans l&rsquo;\u0153il, la r\u00e9tine r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit une petite quantit\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re via la pupille. \u00c0 cause des vaisseaux sanguins \u00e0 l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u0153il, la lumi\u00e8re r\u00e9fl\u00e9chie a une couleur rouge\u00e2tre. On parle de reflet r\u00e9tinien. Environ 90\u00a0% de ces cas sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s l\u00e9gers et comme la maladie se r\u00e9sorbe,\u00a0 les nourrissons n\u2019ont pas besoin de traitement.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, dans des cas graves,\u00a0les nourrissons peuvent d\u00e9velopper un d\u00e9collement de la r\u00e9tine (image 3).
